Family-owned residential electrical contractor celebrates the Better Business Bureau’s highest business honor with its team, clients, and desert community.

Home Team Electric has been awarded a 2026 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics at the Orange County & Inland Empire awards ceremony held October 29, 2026, at the Hilton Irvine in Irvine, California. The award, described by the BBB as the highest honor it bestows upon a company, recognizes the family-owned residential electrical contractor for its commitment to ethical business practices, leadership, workplace culture, client relationships, and community involvement.

According to the BBB, the annual Torch Awards for Ethics are intended to advance trust in the marketplace by recognizing companies that demonstrate integrity in their business practices. Recipients are selected through an independent judging process that evaluates four areas: character of leadership, company culture, client relationships, and community impact. The BBB lists Home Team Electric as a 2026 Orange County & Inland Empire winner on its Torch Awards page.

For founder Frank Luersen and the entire Home Team Electric family, the recognition is something to bring home and celebrate with the community that has supported them for generations.

Long before Home Team Electric existed, Frank Luersen’s father taught him a simple rule: “Work hard, do it right, make ’em smile.” Those lessons helped shape the company he would later build and continue to guide the team today.

Founded in 2006, Home Team Electric began with a few tool bags, two pickups, and a family determined to build something lasting. Frank’s wife, Corrine Luersen, and his younger brother Josh, who joined at seventeen, helped build the company around those values. Their father, Charlie, also joined them in the early years, working alongside his sons as a service electrician.

Five generations of the Luersen family have called this desert home, and today, Home Team Electric continues to serve the same communities where those roots were planted.

What began as a family commitment has become a shared standard for the entire team, carried into the homes and communities Home Team Electric serves every day.
