On November 25-26, 2026, the first WeAreDevelopers Conference India will take place at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). It is the next step in the company’s global expansion. In July, more than 15,000 developers gathered at the WeAreDevelopers World Congress in Berlin, and just weeks ago the North America debut brought 10,000 builders together in San José, in the heart of Silicon Valley.

India bets on AI
By 2047, the 100th anniversary of its independence, India aims to become a developed nation under its Viksit Bharat (“Developed India”) vision, with technology at the core. According to NITI Aayog, the government’s policy think tank, AI could add up to $1.7 trillion to India’s economy by 2035. Through the IndiaAI Mission, the government has committed about $1.2 billion and onboarded more than 38,000 GPUs as shared national compute.
The talent is there to match it. According to GitHub’s Octoverse 2025 report, India counts 21.9 million developers on the platform, with 57.5 million expected by 2030, and it is already home to the world’s largest base of open-source contributors, many of whom have long been part of the WeAreDevelopers network. Their role is changing, too. Across more than 1,800 global capability centers, Indian engineering teams increasingly own global products and AI roadmaps.

Entire joins as co-host

He has spoken at WeAreDevelopers several times and is a well-known guest of its audience.
